Attorney Equator L. Turner is a 1995 graduate of Delta State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration with an Emphasis in Accounting. She received her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2004 from Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She received a LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Houston Law School in 2006. Previously, she worked as a Law Clerk/Contract Attorney for the law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Matthews, and Friend and attended University of Houston Law School as a part-time LL.M. Tax Law student. In addition to my over sixteen (16) years of legal experience, she has over Six (6) years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry as an Accountant/Financial Analyst.
During her years in law school, she earned a GPA of 3.40 and her Class Standing was 4 of 160 students. She was also a Journal Writer for the Earl Carl Institute For Legal And Social Policy, Inc., which helped to solve legal and social problems facing our local urban communities.
